Grandfather Gnome
In his neat, white-painted house at one end of the village of Trimble, Peter the friendly elf was looking through their closets. She had run out their honey cookies favorites and he was checking to see if they had all the ingredients to make a little more. To make sure that was all he had noted on a list was crossing as he found out.
Peter List
Flour
Sal
Butter
Honey
And, alas, the more important was missing, honey, and the only thing you can not ignore when making biscuits honey, is honey.
Slip in her little blue jacket next door rushed home from a friend Pod, pod but had no honey. Next he tried almost every house in town, but nobody had the honey. Now only had a house to try it was the house of Kronk.
Kronk was the meanest and most unfriendly old gnome can play, but Peter thought he would ask all forms. Kronk was busy putting a new lock on the door to the apple - the apple actually belong to the whole village, but Kronk had built a fence around it, put a lock on the door, and now all the apples are kept for himself.
"Good morning, Mr. Kronk," said Peter, "I wondered if could have a little honey to spare.
Kronk gave a look of Peter and said, "Honey?" You really think that if I had the honey that would give to you? If you have any honey, not me, I would go on for me. "
Oh, the thought of Peter, who really is the old gnome increasingly humble, but all I said was, "Thank you, Mr. Kronk," and walked away.
Peter was up early the next morning, he market was headed to Dingle, a little honey and it was a long way. It forms a beautiful morning the birds were singing and there was a cloud in the sky. On the way to the market Peter had a empty basket and skipped the whole way. But on the way back was a heavy pot of honey in her basket and was very tired. The day was hot, was sweating and his legs were pain at the time he reached the old oak on the edge of the village.
It was good that I just had to sit and rest, place the basket beside him, sat with his back against the tree and before he knew he was asleep. As soon as he fell asleep he had been watching Kronk from behind his cover, he slipped out, took the honey and ran back into his garden. After looking around, decided to hide the honey pot in a pot up, "hee," he cackled. "Nobody is going to find there."
Half an hour later, Pedro woke up, went to pick her basket and discovered that his honey had been stolen. Who could have done something, looked around but no one was around. Unfortunately, his head bowed, began making their way home, there would be no honey cookies today.
I was so sad he was half way home before realizing that someone was shouting his name. As soon as he saw it was his friend Pod. Peter was in no mood to talk, but he could not leave, so I waited for Pod to catch up.
"Sorry Pod," said Peter, when his friend arrived, I'm in no mood to talk, someone stole my honey when was asleep.
"I know," said Pod. "I was on top of fairy hill and saw who took it. Kronk is that horrible gnome and had hidden under a pot in your garden. Lets' go and get it back.
"No, that does not work," said Peter. "It's just going to laugh at us, as well that leaves us in his garden. But I think I know how to get honey. "
Peter explained his plan for Pod then went around talking to the villagers. The Kronk next morning, when he was in his garden, three of the villagers ran, carrying sacks, 'What's happening? "That he called. "But the villagers kept running and soon disappeared over the hill. Shortly afterwards some more villagers ran past and the same happened. Later Pod saw running toward him, so he went out with arms outstretched and Pod had to stop, "What's happening?" he demanded.
"Nothing," said Pod.
"Then why do you have that bag? Kronk said.
"Because the farmer in meadow green, Dingle has a field of potatoes that can not pick and if you take your own bag, will cease to fill for free.
At the mention of the word free, greedy Kronk old ran into his garden, grabbed a bag and ran off the road. As soon as he disappeared into the hill of Peter came from behind the oak and took his honey pot below.
Come in Pod, "he said." Let's go home and bake some cookies, honey. "
Took Kronk two hours to get to Dingle, only to find no farmer in green lawn without free potatoes. Then I took two hours back and was not surprised when he led the hill to find all the villagers sitting under the oak tree, a picnic with lots of honey biscuits to eat.
